From Cork take the N8 towards Dublin. Approaching Cahir turn
right and take the N24 signposted to Clonmel/Waterford. From
Shannon take the N24 out of Limerick signposted to Waterford.
In both cases, after Cahir, take the Clonmel bypass (again
signposted to Waterford). Continue on the N24 for about 4

turn left at this sign on the N76. At the roundabout coming
into Kilkenny turn right signposted to Dublin/Carlow. You
are now on the Kilkenny bypass. At the fourth roundabout turn

When you reach the first roundabout approaching Wexford town
turn left still following the N25. Then at the third roundabout
turn left again signposted to Cork/Waterford/Limerick - still
the N25. Approaching New Ross, just after the top of a hill
with a 'climbing lane', take a right turn onto the N30 signposted
to Enniscorthy/Kilkenny. This road bypasses New Ross and at
the end of the bypass ('T' Junction) turn right. After traveling
about 0.5 mile/0.8 km at the bottom of a steep hill turn left
on the R700 signposted to Kilkenny. Watch very carefully for
this left turn. Pass over a river and travel for about 1.5
miles/2.4 kms where you turn right signposted to Carlow/Graiguenamanagh
onto the R705. After about 8 miles/12.5 kms you go down a
hill into Graiguenamanagh village. At the 'T' junction in
the village where the road gets very narrow (opposite the
Abbey) turn left. Coming out of Graiguenamanagh be sure to
follow the R705 - it bears right up a hill - for just over
5 miles/8 kms. You cross a bridge over the river Barrow and
about 1mile/1.5 kms further on you come to another 'T' junction
where you turn right and after about 500 yards/450 meters
turn left and pass a Texaco station on your left still following
the R705 signposted to Bagenalstown/Carlow. The entrance to
Lorum is about 4 miles/6.5 kms from this turn. It is to your
right and is clearly signposted.
Be Careful! - If you are tired, jetlagged and/or not
used to driving on the left hand side of the road please take
great care - we want you to arrive safely at Lorum Old Rectory!
